Education and Training in space science and technology is an integral part of the Indian Space Programme. Many of the Centres under Department of Space (DOS) have initiatives to support students in the area of space science and technology. The programmes include Internships [summer Internship, Winter Internship, Long Term Internship], curriculum based projects [Projects for B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, etc], conduct of multi-theme and multi-level training programme / awareness workshops, etc. Some Centres provide an opportunity for the student community to carry out their project work as part of their academic curriculum. In order to make use of good talents from the academic institutes, professional students of engineering category have been given permission to perform project work in the area of design and development which are useful to the organisation. Opportunity is provided for both undergraduate (B.E/B.Tech) and Post-graduate (M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc/MCA) students to carry out their project work.
